Princeton in Argentina
This program features six weeks of instruction in Buenos Aires, at the Universidad de Belgrano, and it is designed and coordinated by Princeton faculty. In order to facilitate intensive culture and language immersion, all students stay with host families. The program offers opportunities to do volunteer work or take side trips to historical or natural sites.

Princeton in Beijing
Princeton in Beijing is a high-quality intensive program in intermediate and advanced Chinese language study for the serious language student. The faculty from Princeton brings to this effort more than three decades of leadership in the pioneering of intensive “total immersion” summer Chinese language programs in the United States, as well as more than three decades of producing Chinese language textbooks at Princeton University’s Chinese Linguistics Project. To this experience is added the ultimate Chinese language environment — China’s capital city of Beijing.

Princeton in Dar es Salaam
Princeton in Dar es Salaam is an eight-week program in June and July offering Intermediate Swahili. Also offered is a six-week seminar taught in English — AFS 305T “Ideology, Nationalism and Development: An Experiential Study in Tanzania’s (R)evolution from Colonialism to Socialism and back to Capitalism”. Both courses combine in-class instruction with volunteering in teaching English to local schools and helping in orphanages and local community projects. The program includes cultural excursions to local sites and Zanzibar as well as a typical African Safari to Arusha and Ngorongoro Conservancy – the only park that has preserved stereotype the traditional lifestyle of indigenous communities sharing a habitat with wildlife.
Princeton in France
The Princeton in France program is a long-established summer work program that selects students who qualify linguistically to take on the responsibilities of a paid summer job or internship in France. Travel grants and salary supplements are available to students who receive financial aid. Announcements will be made early in the fall concerning an October information meeting about the program. The application deadline is in November.
Princeton in Ishikawa
Princeton in Ishikawa (PII) is an eight-week intensive Japanese language program offering 2nd- and 3rd-year Japanese courses in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture, one of the most beautiful and historic cities in all of Japan. Participants who successfully complete the program receive credit for two courses, the equivalent of one year of Japanese language study from Princeton University.

Princeton in Pisa
The Princeton in Pisa Summer Intensive Program offers students the opportunity to take a four-week Princeton course, ITA-207I, while in residence on the campus of the Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) in Pisa, Italy. Located in one of the richest historical and intellectual environments of Italy, the SNS is a premier university with a long and distinguished tradition. The program offers a full immersion experience that will allow students to interact with the territory on a linguistic, cultural, and social level.
Princeton in Munich
Princeton in Munich, the German Department’s summer program in Munich, Germany will take place from May 31-June 26, 2020. We offer three courses every June — German 105G (third semester), German 107G (fourth semester), and an upper-level course (GER 318). These courses combine intensive instruction at the Goethe Institut with seminars on literature and culture led by Adam Oberlin.
Princeton in Portugal
This is a program designed for those students who wish to accelerate their learning of the Portuguese language and enhance their Princeton education by further deepening their understanding of our world. In four weeks of intensive study with home stays, a carefully selected combination of classes, lectures, and excursions aims to provide both a rigorous academic environment and a transformative and unforgettable cultural experience. Students will also engage in a local community service project during their time in Lisbon. Program dates are June 3 through July 1, 2017.

Princeton in Spain
This intensive four-week summer program is built around Princeton University courses and it is led by Princeton faculty. The program takes place in Toledo, Spain and it is taught at the Fundación José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón. The program offers a combination of relevant classes, lectures and excursions, as well as the opportunity to work with the community and to meet with local students for conversation exchange.
Princeton in St. Petersburg
Established in 2004, the Princeton in St. Petersburg Program offers Princeton undergraduates a unique chance to improve their knowledge of Russian language and culture during a two-month summer course in St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. The program is organized by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures with financial support from the Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies and the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS). The Program is designed for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have successfully completed RUS 101-102.
